Hereford FC manager Josh Gowling was very disappointed with his side's performance at Curzon Ashton last Tuesday.
After the final whistle was blown Gowling remained in the dug-out on his own before speaking to the local media.
In that interview he spoke about 'weak mentality'.
However in his pre Southport interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester Gowling sort to clarify his remarks.
"I never questioned the lads attitude because the lads have been brilliant. It's a one off.
"I never questioned them because I know they are in the right place, their hearts are in the right place.
"I just felt that mentally it was an off-day for us."
Meanwhile the club has clarified the situation regarding Krystian Pearce, pictured above, and his suspension after receiving a red card in the recent game at Kidderminster.
'Pearces’ final game of suspension will be this Saturday against Southport. Pearce will be available for next Saturday’s home match against York City.'
It had been thought that Pearce would only miss two games after his latest red card. However he has already missed the games at Chester and Curzon Ashton and, according to the club, will miss tomorrow's game against Southport.
