A Very Good Hereford Side Said Guiseley Manager

Speaking after ninety minutes Guiseley manager Russ O'Neill felt that had the scores been level at half time his side might have taken something from the game but admitted they had been up against a 'very good Hereford side'.

He also had a lot of praise for his young keeper Owen Mason.

"They could have been out of sight in the first thirty minutes but we hung in," said O'Neill.

"But second half I thought we were on the front foot.

"The conditions were horrendous but I thought we created two or three good chances.

"If we had scored at that point I think we would have gone on and won the game.

"But Hereford started really well. In the first half hour young Owen made three or four fantastic saves.

"To get results at this level you have to hang on in there, get to half time, take the conditions and get something out of the game, however Hereford are an in-form team.

"They withstood what we threw at them second half and then they go up the other end and took the opportunity so fair play to them."
