A look back to April 1989 when Hereford United faced Kidderminster Harriers at Edgar Street. The game was a Welsh Cup tie with Harriers taking a 1-0 lead into the 2nd leg. Manager Ian Bowyer shocked supporters by leaving the league's top scorer Phil Stant on the subs bench for the whole 90 minutes. The game is remembered for a stray duck flying onto the pitch and stopping play.
Hereford would lose 1-0 on aggregate and Harriers would face Swansea City in the final.
