Injury Problems For Gowling Ahead Of York Game

Miles Storey With The Ball

Yesterday Hereford manager Josh Gowling could only name four substitutes on the bench. With Luke Haines being taken to hospital and Miles Storey coming off with what looked like a hamstring injury, he's going to problems with finding enough fit players for Tuesday evening's game at York City.

"You can see we are bare bones now." said Gowling.

"We've got four midfields out now and we're not filling the bench so it is a worry.

"Toe (Tom Owen-Evans) had a niggle today and Miles came off with a niggle.

"We'll having to be careful training-wise with the injuries we have."

Gowling then spoke about the players who are currently out.

"Fosy (George Forsyth) has had a scan so he'll be back, hopefully, next week. Vini (James Vincent) had a scan today so we're waiting for the results from that.

"Krystian (Pearce) has a neurol problem we didn't know about but obviously we know about now. He's not far away.

"We seem to have all the injuries at one point."

Gowling might try and bring in another loan player or two but whether he gets anyone in before the York game is a doubt.

"We've got to look at getting in lads that have played some minutes. Obviously Luke (Haines) is out now so we've only got Ben (Pollock) and Levi (Andoh) as centre-halves. That's been a problem all season.

"We're going to have to look at bringing in another centre-half because Luke may have to miss two weeks.

"We've had an eye on a centre-half for a while so I'll have a chat tonight with the manager there to see if he is available."
