Vincenti becomes vice-chair of PFA Players' Board

Former Hereford player Peter Vincenti has been elected vice-chair of the newly-formed PFA Players' Board.

He was a member of the previous management committee and will assist Oxford defender John Mousinho, who has been elected as chair. The 13-strong players' group was drawn from the Premier League, Women's Super League, Championship, League One and League Two plus three former members. Representatives include Leicester captain Wes Morgan, Watford skipper Troy Deeney and Steph Houghton, who wears the armband for Manchester City and England.

"During my time as a professional, I benefited greatly from the available services to members and it is with great pride that I accept this nomination as vice-chair of the PFA, said Vincenti.

The 34-year-old, who played for Hereford under Russell Slade, currently represents St Peter in the Jersey Football Combination.
