Hereford FC manager Josh Gowling spoke to YourHerefordshire director Matt Healey at the club's media day.
JG: “We are focused, the lads are bouncing, we are focusing on our game plan and are going train hard the next few days.”
MH: “The winners of Saturday’s game will earn £60,000 in prize money, which in the current financial climate would be very welcome?”
JG: “Finances have been tough on the club and also for the players who had to take pay cuts, if we can get the victory the money will go a long way.”
MH: “Hornchurch are managed by Mark Stimson who was your former boss at Gillingham. Does that make the final a bit tastier?”
JG: “It’s like anything if you play against your old club you want to beat them that little bit more. He’s got a lot of experience, the pressure is on them and we are the underdogs, he’s won the competition a few times and has got a good pedigree of players in the squad, they have beaten some good teams to get this far.
“We will finish our training this week and then head down and get prepared for the game.”
