Several Players From Wembley Squad Expected To Agree Deals At Hereford

News this afternoon that Tom Owen-Evans has agreed a one year extension to his current deal with Hereford opens the way for several more players who featured at Wembley last Saturday to put pen to paper.

Owen-Evans is the second player to sign, Luke Haines was the first a couple of weeks ago when he agreed terms until the end of next season.

Manager Josh Gowling has said that he hopes to keep as many of the squad together as possible.

"I’d like to think the majority of the lads will stay, I think they’ve enjoyed it, we’ve had a relatively good season and I think they’ve bought into the philosophy, the ideas that we want to bring into the football club," said Gowling.

However, as yet, Gowling has not been promised any more money in his budget and he needs to bring in a striker and mid-fielder at the very least. So, no doubt, some players will not be offered new deals.

Meanwhile for Owen-Evans who originally signed for Hereford in October 2018 it will be his fourth season with the club.

"I’m buzzing to be signing for another year, to be working with the gaffer again, and to get more experiences like we did the other day at Wembley."
