National North Chairmen To 'Meet' Tonight

The chairmen of all the National North League clubs are set to meet this evening to discuss whether to continue playing before the result of the resolutions put to them yesterday. These resolutions, if passed, could mean the end of the season.

13 of the clubs, including AFC Telford, are reported to be against playing until the vote is completed according to a report in the Shropshire Star.

They have already said that they are unlikely to play their League fixture against Spennymoor on Saturday.

Meanwhile Boston chairman David Newton wants to continue playing. He feels there is enough support available.

"It is clear that funding is available for clubs to continue the season," said Newton as reported by LincolnshireLive.

"Although the funding is primarily based on loans, it was also made very clear that grants will be available for those clubs that would not be in a position to repay loans."

Whatever the decision of the chairmen it is expected that Hereford's FA Trophy tie against Leamington will go ahead.
