This from HUST:
Following the Member Club votes to end the National North and South league seasons, HUST believes that most supporters will agree with the decision, sad though it is. From the supporter angle, fixtures have become so uncertain, starting to back up and an amount of ‘fixture fatigue’ has been reported.
We applaud the Club’s view that it is not just about our Club but other people’s Clubs too. Every team needs another team to play against otherwise a football match just will not happen. Maintaining a sustainable Club now means it will still be there for better days and hopefully a more normal 2021-22 season.
Supporters have commented that Josh and Steve have been quietly assembling a good footballing team that is showing it is now more than capable of competing with the challenges that the National North brings. We thank them and the players for their commitment and fervently hope they will all stick with us for next season. When we are all back inside Edgar Street, they will receive the most heartfelt of welcomes!
Meantime, it is indeed poignant that we have an upcoming away match at Aldershot in the FA Trophy. Good luck lads, we are all rooting for you. We would have taken a large following to Aldershot once again. This time round, whilst we cannot be there in person, we will be with you in spirit!
