Hereford FC have revealed that out of the three options given to clubs by the National League about further funding, they have decided to back a suspension of the season.
The other options which in essence would be loans are not available to HFC because of the articles of association.
The decision was given to shareholders on Thursday evening.
"The suspension of the season is the most palatable as we can access the furlough scheme," said chairman Rob Crawford.
However the club are hoping that during the current two week suspension the DCMS might change its mind about funding and turn loans into grants. If so, and the grants are reasonable, then the club would be happy to continue the season.
