Former Hereford United player Dean Clarke has been appointed manager of Merthyr Town Football Club.
Starting as a YTS player Clarke made a number of starts for Hereford from 1993 to 1996 before time with Cheltenham, Merthyr and then a spell with Newport County before returning to Merthyr.
Merthyr chairman Les Barlow said he was 'absolutely delighted' to confirm Clarke as the club's new manager.
