Three Hereford players were unwell, confirm club

Hereford have confirmed that three players reported feeling unwell while en route to Spennymoor yesterday and, after consulting with the club and National League's medical advisors, the match was called off.

Therefore, as per the National League protocol, the first team have now been placed in isolation for 10 days. The club now await the outcome of the three Covid tests, which will expected in the next 48 hours.

"As frustrating as this is to have this happen at such a late hour before a match, it is impossible to predict when someone is going to start to feel unwell," said Hereford chairman Andrew Graham.

"As soon as we were made aware, our priority was that the correct procedure was followed to ensure the safety and welfare, of staff and players, of both our own club and the host club. We are monitoring the situation while we await the test results.”
