Hereford FC chairman Andrew Graham was interviewed by Trevor Owens for BBC Hereford and Worcester a couple of days ago.
The interview allowed Graham to put his point of view about the amount of funding received through the Government which he feels was distributed unfairly.
Hereford were awarded £36,000 per month. However had the figure been based on last year's attendance it would have been somewhat more.
"When the board made the decision to start the season it was due to the fact that we were aware that we would be compensated for the loss of gate receipts," said Graham.
"That's what we were led to believe.
"We're just a little bit concerned as to the transparancy of how this money has been allocated.
"I am involved in a group of clubs talking to the National League board and the FA and we are looking to address the situation.
"The problem is how was it determined that the clubs would receive their allocation.
"This is not a case of us moaning, this is a case of us asking for justifiable amounts based on the losses we have incurred because the season is being played behind closed doors.
"As a board we were presented with a decision and that decision was do we commence the season not knowing whether or not we will have gate money or grant money.
"If the answer to that is no then our articles as a football club, we would not be able to run as a sustainable football club.
"That decision was taken out of our hands by the promise of revenue or grant money to supplement our income and replace the losses that we would have incurred as a result of no fans.
"Thereby we made the decision to start the season because we would not have those losses.
"So you can understand our frustration to receive an amount that does not reflect the loss of gate receipts. It's something that has to be addressed."
