Speaking after last night's friendly at Halesowen, Josh Gowling spoke of his hope that he can complete his squad soon.
"We want to get our squad sorted soon, it would be nice," said the Hereford manager.
"Obviously we've lost two in the last week (thought to be Jason Cowley and Connor Parsons) or so just obviously for financial reasons, they didn't want to stay which was fine, so that's why we've had some fresh faces today.
"We are getting there, we are speaking to a few players, we are looking at some options, so the squad is coming together."
As regards the friendly itself Gowling said that the first first was full of trialists as he wanted to give the signed players less minutes.
"The lads played 60 against TNS so we wanted to rest them so first 60 minutes was a trialist team really.
"The lads put a good shift in but didn't implement what we asked yesterday which was a bit frustrating from my point but when you have a group of trialits out there it is always difficult as they are trying to earn a contract, they are trying to impress.
"There are a couple of lads that have been with us from the start of pre-season, they've impressed and done well and will be with us moving forward.
"And there are a couple of new lads that have come in and will be with us over the next couple of weeks."
Gowling is hopeful fans will buy season tickets which will help his budget.
"It's nice that the fans have got something to look forward to, that's the biggest thing.
"The fact that the club have put tickets on sale means there is something tangible now, fans can get hold of something and know the season is starting on October 3rd and the fixtures are out which is another reason to go and buy some tickets."
