Helen Byard is to step down as a director of Hereford FC at the end of the month.
Byard became the club's first female director 12 months ago after spending the previous season as its welfare officer.
“I have very much enjoyed becoming part of the Club over the last couple of years but my professional work must take priority at this time," said Byard, as reported on Hereford's official website.
"I wish the chairman and the board every success in bringing the club through to the next season.”
Chairman Andrew Graham, added that Byard has been an exceptional contributor to Board matters in what has been a very difficult time on and off the pitch and her professional role in the NHS cannot be underestimated.
“We have lost a formidable member of the Board in Helen and we shall be deeply saddened to see her leave," he said.
With today's news, there are now just five directors on the Hereford FC board.
They are: Andrew Graham, Paul Quarrell, Peter Churchus, Tony Taylor and Rob Crawford.
Rob Bullock remains co-opted onto the board but without voting rights.
