Boston manager Craig Elliot is hoping to attract players from higher leagues to his club given the financial position of some clubs because of lack of income.
However Elliot may have to wait a while because Boston are in a play-off place and so he can't announce a retained list.
"But I don't know what sort of contract I can offer.
"A lot of good players are available and I'm shocked that some clubs are making announcements.
"There are different ways of looking at the situation. One is to do business early so you can start looking forward, the other is to wait and see what happens elsewhere.
"In non-league you need the crowds to financially sustain a club. A lot of clubs will wait to see what happens first before doing their business."
