Kidderminster Appoint Director Of Football

Kidderminster Harriers have appointed a director of football.

'Club legend' Richard Forsyth, who made over 300 appearances for the club, has been given the role which is mainly about linking the first team with the Academy and Junior football operations.

He will also support the 'first team management in regards to scouting and recruitment moving forward, analysing opposition and maintaining a network of contacts'.

"We need to surround ourselves with people who are passionate about the club, and Richard fits that bill perfectly," said manager Russ Penn.

"Like me, he’s played hundreds of times here and knows what the fans and the town expect. The link between the first team and the Academy is a vital one, and Jimmy and I are looking forward to working with him on that front.

"He’ll be a big help to us in regards to scouting and having a very good network of personnel around the game as well, so it’s a great appointment for the club."
