Mike Cook, the manager of Chippenhan Town, is pleased to have brought Alex Bray to the club.
Bray's contract at Hereford was recently terminated.
Chippenham are currently at the wrong end of the National League South table and Cook is hopeful his recent signings will lift them out of the relegation area.
“The chairman said he will be making some funds available, and
hopefully he can see people like Alex Bray and Luke Russe are good
quality players," said Cook as reported by the Swindon Advertiser.
“But to get those two players even, we’ve probably spoken to 33 or 34 players over the last month.
“A lot of them have said: ‘no, I’m not interested, I don’t want to get into a relegation battle.’
“That’s disappointing for me, but then again they’re probably not the sort of characters I want in my team.”
Interestingly Chippenham are 17th in the National South and Hereford are 17th in the National North.
