Tom Owen-Evans says he is delighted to be back at Hereford following an eight-game loan spell at Chippenham Town.
The midfielder - who was the Bulls' star player last season - was sent out on loan to Hardenhuish Park after being 'in and out' of the side under Russell Slade.
The deal had been extended until the end of the season, but following Slade's departure, Owen-Evans has been recalled by Interim Manager Josh Gowling.
“It’s been really good to go out and get 90 minutes of football under my belt each week,” said Owen-Evans, as reported on the Hereford FC official website.
“Before heading out on loan I was in and out of the team and struggling to find any consistency. It’s tough to try and find your form when you’re not playing each week or coming off the bench, the move to Chippenham gave me a great chance to get back to playing and enjoying my football again.
"I’ve scored twice and got two assists with Chippenham it’s really helped me to get my form back. I’ve loved playing football again and I think it’s been a really good move for me. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Chippenham but I’m pleased that Josh wants me to feature in the team here again. I’m delighted to be back and I’m looking forward to hopefully making an impact.
“I’m really excited to be back in a Hereford shirt, hopefully, I can add some more goals and assists and help fire us up the table.”
Owen-Evans believes it's a good move to get Gowling on board.
“Josh is a great guy, really knowledgeable and I think he’s got all the attributes and qualities that we need here. The players respect him and he knows the squad inside out. I think it’s a really good appointment and hope he does really well.
“We’ve got a good squad here and although we’re down the bottom half of the table I really think we can finish a lot higher up the league than we are at the moment.”
