Gowling Aims To Get The Best Out Of Owen-Evans

One of the first moves Hereford's interim manager, Josh Gowling, did after being appointed was to talk to Tom Owen-Evans who was out on loan at Chippenham Town.

Owen-Evans wasn't selected by Russell Slade on a regular basis and was shipped out with the aim of finishing his contract.

But Gowling wanted him back.

"I had a long chat with him before recalling him," Gowling told the Hereford Times.

"He wasn’t enjoying his football when he left and sometimes performances can reflect that. 

"Sometimes when he is put in a role that doesn’t really suite him you don’t get the best out of him."
