Back The Bulls This Afternoon

Hereford FC are at home this afternoon against Curzon Ashton.

The club has a new interim manager Josh Gowling and a new assistant Steve Burr.

They've taken over from Russell Slade who left the club last Monday after what can only be described as a very poor run of results.

In essence the club has lost the best part of two seasons since the club decided, rightly or wrongly, to sack Peter Beadle and Steve Jenkins and bring in Tim Harris.

However there's little point dwelling on the past, it's the future that counts.

The decision to let Gowling take over is a brave one. There's little doubt his enthusiasm is there for all to see and, as far as is known, he appears to be well liked by both players and supporters.

Two of Gowling's first moves will be applauded. The return of Tom Owen-Evans will bolster the midfield especially after the exit of Stephen Dawson.

But probably more important is bringing in Steve Burr who has lots of experience and no doubt contacts at National League level.

Whilst a win this afternoon would be a great start for the new team, what everyone would like to see is the whole team looking that they want to play in a Hereford shirt.

Tickets to watch the Bulls this afternoon will be available from the ticket office from 12noon.

Ideally the club would like supporters to purchase tickets as early as possible to avoid any possible delays close to kick-off.

Back the Bulls this afternoon.
