Today's National North Fixtures

Mike Symons For Hereford Against Boston Last April
There is a full compliment of fixtures in the National North League this afternoon.

York travel to Gloucester City (11th) and should add another three points to their talley despite last Monday the league leaders, perhaps surprisingly, only drawing with Gateshead (16th). Gloucester lost 3-0 at Brackley (7th).

Second placed Kings Lynn are at home to Darlington (15th) and would be expected to win this game.

Chester (3rd), who put four past Hereford last Monday, are away at Spennymoor (21st) who have played two less games than nealy all the other clubs as their ground wasn't available for the first few weeks of the season. Nevertheless it looks like another three points for Chester.

Alfreton (4th) are away at Kidderminster (9th). Last Monday Alfreton defeated Southport 2-0 whereas Kidderminster won 5-3 at Kettering. Perhaps a draw.

Guiseley (5th) entertain Curzon Ashton (12th) and Leamington (6th) play Blyth Spartans (22nd). Both look like home wins.

Brackley (7th) travel to Gateshead (16th) who have drawn five of their seven games to date.

Neither Bradford PA (19th) nor Telford (17th) have had very good starts to the season compared with last year. A draw looks likely.

Finally Hereford face Boston at home. On Monday Hereford lost 4-1 at Chester whereas Boston won 5-0 at home against Altrincham. On those results Boston might be expected to win this fixture but the addition of Russell Slade in the Hereford dug-out might just tip the balance. Whatever the result it should be watched by the highest gate on the day in the league.
