New first team manager at Hereford FC Russell Slade will be in the Edgar Street dug-out for the first time tomorrow afternoon when Boston are the visitors.
In an interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester he was asked why he had come to Hereford.
"It's a club that is ambitious, it's a club that wants to get back into the League," said Slade.
"I wouldn't be here if I didn't think that was possible.
"There's a plan that is being put together, they have thought about how they are going to try and get there.
"And that's why I'm here.
"I feel that I can come in at this stage of the journey and help the football club move forward."
What about his aims for the club?
"The ambition of the football club is to get into one of those play-off slots, that won't change, that's what we need to achieve and that's what I'm looking to do."
He was asked about recent form
"It's been a little bit mixed hasn't it.
"A couple of really good wins and then a couple of heavy defeats as well.
"It shows some things are going well but there are other things that need to improve as we go forward.
"We don't want to be suffering those heavy defeats."
The station mentioned that Tim Harris will select the team tomorrow.
