Hereford captain Josh Gowling felt it was very difficult to play given the conditions at Southport this afternoon.
"Conditions weren't great, pitch was a bit bobley, so it was difficult to get the ball down and play," he told the press.
"To be honest we didn't play well at all so we let ourselves down.
"We've set our goals, what we want to do, what we want to achieve but the gaffer has let us know it wasn't good enough.
"I've spoken to the lads as well and the lads know it wasn't good enough.
"We didn't perform today."
