When asked after the game about looking up the league, Head Coach Marc Richards said interviewer Keith Hall might been getting a little ahead of himself.Vanarama National League North Table
Richards said that performance levels need to be consistent.
He said: "Probably getting a little ahead of yourself there! It's just pleasing that the first half was not a good performance.
"Going back to performance levels, Curzon was a better overall performance but we didn't come out with the right result. Tonight we've had two massively contrasting halves of football and we've come out with the right result.
"Yet Matt Yates has had to make a couple of unbelievable saves, we've had a few blocks on the line and it's ended up going our way tonight.
"The performance levels need to consistently be there for us to hopefully get the right result more often than not.
Richards said that the aim is to be near the top of the form guide table and hopes last night's win will breed some confidence within the squad.
He added: "I don't know where we are in the form guide at the moment but I guess we're in an around that top ten, that's the aim.
"We've got two huge coming up against Leamington and Ashton in and around us. Hopefully it'll give the boys a bit of confidence, you saw that as soon as we started playing a little bit better in the second half the lads started playing with a little bit of confidence and swagger.
"I thought we played some really good stuff and I'm looking forward to watching that second half back, not so much the first half!"
