The young players from Bobblestock Bulls along with their parents held a bucket collection for the Adam Stansfield Foundation at Edgar Street yesterday.
The youngsters also formed part of the guard of honour as the officials and players came onto the pitch.
Richard Williams from the club spoke to BN before kick-off about why they wanted to help the Foundation.
"We are Bobblestock Bulls Football Club, a new junior football club in Hereford and today we are raising money for the Adam Stansfield Foundation because at the start of the year they donated some goalposts to us.
"To say thank you for that we decided to organise a bucket collection here at Edgar Street, hopefully raise some money, pay it to them and so do some good."
How did you get in touch with them to start?
"We knew they would help out a grass roots football team. As a new club we were struggling for funds so we approached them and they were more than helpful and they donated a set of portable goalposts.
"We've got seven or eight buckets with two volunteers per bucket and our players are also here doing the guard of honour at the start of the game."
