Equine flu have meant that next Monday's racing at Hereford has been cancelled.
The event was being held in conjunction with Hereford FC to raise funds for their football academy.
This from Hereford Racecourse:
'Following this afternoon’s announcement from BHA, we can confirm that racing at Hereford on Monday 11 February will not go ahead. A full refund will automatically be issued to anyone that has purchased tickets or hospitality for the day.'
Racing in the UK is not expected to take place before February 13th at the earliest.
Three horses from a Cheshire stable which had been vaccinated tested positive for the disease.
