Jimmy Oates said it wasn't a massively hard decision to make his return to Hereford after he joined on loan from Exeter City for the remainder of the season.
Oates signed for Exeter in the summer following a successful trial period with the Devon club, but is back with the Bulls as he looks for more game time.
He said he's got a lot of love for the club and he's happy to come back.
"Great win," said Oates.
"We dug in at the end there at got the win.
"I think we knew we had to do the basics well.
"We started really well and got the goal.
"We made it difficult for ourselves at the end but we managed to hang on.
"We knew they were going to come out strong (after the break). We weathered the storm a little bit in the first half, we gave away a few cheap free-kicks and just about managed to clear our lines.
"We were confident coming out second half, we just had to work hard and stick together and that's what we did."
Oates scored Hereford's second goal of the game.
"Seemed like I had a lot of time at the front post but I was glad it went in"
What was his thinking to return to Hereford?
"It wasn't a massively hard decision, there were a couple of options but I've got a lot of love for the club and obviously working with Rico (Marc Richards) and I know Tim (Harris) well. More than happy to come back here despite the travelling.
"There's only three of four familiar faces but I feel like I know the boys already. The long journey probably helped. They all seem like a really good bunch of lads.
"Hopefully we can put a few wins together now."
