Hereford Head Coach Marc Richards said it was a great result after the Bulls picked up three points after beating their neighbours 1-0.
It was a fairly even match between the two sides, but the result means Hereford move out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
"It's a great result, would I have taken a one-nil win? Yeah all day long before today," said Richards.
"Performance-wise we weren't quite as good in spells as we were at Bradford, it's funny how it works out.
"To come away with a 1-0 win is fantastic, so I'm really pleased."
The only goal of the game came in the 80th minute when James Roberts scored from the penalty spot after a foul on Mike Symons.
"I thought it was a definite penalty and not too dissimilar to the one Symons got here two weeks ago, just a two hand push in the back," added Richards.
"So I thought it was a definite penalty, in fact I didn't think it was a free kick when Matt Yates came out and cleared one from 20-yards - that was harsh to give a free kick for that.
"But it was a definite penalty and fair play Mr Roberts steps up and coolly puts it away."
Richards praised Harriers for their play in possession, and felt that Hereford aren't good enough at keeping hold of the ball after winning it back.
"They're an excellent passing team, you see what they do in possession it's very difficult. They have very good movement and I know a few of the players fairly well.
"They've got some really good quality throughout, and if you're not really strict with what you do out of possession sometimes they can really hurt you.
"They did get in a couple of times but I thought on the whole the boys worked really hard out of possession and we just probably weren't good enough when we won it back.
"We won it back and we turned over possession so quickly, and that's where it was really frustrating. In the last four or five games we've been really good at that quality in possession.
"That was lacing today and I think that's what made it such a hard afternoon."
Richards was asked that all the analysis the coaching staff work on must be working, but there are still areas the Head Coach isn't happy with.
"I think it's easy to say it worked because it was a 1-0 win, but I think there was still things we needed to tweak at half time. They were getting a bit of a joy and we weren't really dealing with it as well as we could've done.
"There's massive areas for improvement, I think there's weaknesses there for everyone to see and we'll constantly be working on that over the coming weeks.
"The games come thick and fast, Chester, Kiddy again and then into Chorley, so again it's teams that are around that top five or six."
