Alfreton manager Billy Heath felt that the crowd had influenced referee James Bell's decision in awarding Hereford a penalty at Edgar Street this afternoon.
"We deserved something from the game," said Heath in his post match press conference.
"We scored late on with five or six minutes to go.
"But once again I think we made a wrong choice at a crucial time."
Alfreton have had lots of injury problems recently.
"We've had to change the team again like we've had to every single week because of injuries and suspensions. Two of the back four have never really played together.
"So I think if we had got a point it would have been a good point."
Heath then spoke about the penalty decision.
"It looked a very soft penalty to me but it wasn't a surprise when the referee gave it."
The interviewer asked if Health felt the referee had been influenced by the crowd.
"Yes of course he was.
"I don't he would have given it at the other end.
"It just looked very, very soft from where we were.
"The problem is it is creeping into our game at non-league level now. You see it every week. Somebody is touched now and people fall over.
"We've been on the wrong end of it today."
