Former Hereford United loanee Josh Gowling could be set for a return to Edgar Street, Bulls News understands.
Gowling was meant to be spending the season on loan at Alfreton Town from Torquay United, where he was placed on the transfer-list in the summer with another year left on his contract.
The 35-year-old centre-back played 13 games for the Bulls on loan from Carlisle during the 2008-09 season, and went on to play for Gillingham, Grimsby and Kidderminster Harriers among others.
Speculation suggests that he is set to join Hereford.
