Keyon Reffell underwent surgery today on his foot as he continues to recover from an injury picked up last season.
Bulls News understands that the surgery went well, and Mark Richards is hopeful he'll be able to come back into the fray at some point this season.
"Keyon had surgery today to hopefully rectify the problem he's had," Richards said.
"So we've managed to accelerate that so hopefully he'll play some part in the season."
As for Martin Horsell and Mike McGrath, Richards has been keeping in touch with them this week after they collided with each other in last week's cup game.
"I've been in regular contact with both over the last week, Macca should be absolutely fine as he's getting his stitches out Friday," added Richards.
"Horse has struggled a little bit in terms of the concussion he received, so it terms of play protocol and us doing our due diligence to make sure first and foremost he's fit and healthy to train again.
"That'll be a gradual build up over the next two to three weeks."
