Mark Richards was 'delighted' with Hereford's performance as they picked up a point at Stockport County, ending a run of four straight defeats in the league.
The Bulls' Head Coach thought the two Derby County loanees, goalkeeper Matt Yates and centre-back Ethan Wassell were both outstanding today.
"Very, very delighted with the performance," said Richards.
"The boys have taken on board what we've tried to put in place over the last ten days. Obviously gutted not to come away with three points, but we were defending for long spells of the game and unfortunately I've just watched in back then and it was probably a hand ball.
"We'll take that though, a point away at Stockport County."
"They were both expectational, I thought Matt Yates was outstanding in goal and Ethan came in and looked very assured, and there were some good performances all round."
Richards was also pleased with the effort that every player put in today, as well as what they've taken on board since the new management team were installed
"It's baby steps, it's trying to come in and try and concentrate on what we can fix immediately, and what we need to look at it terms of how we're going to improve," he added.
"There will be changes as we go along in terms of how we do things both in and out of possession, but in the short space of time that we've had with them they've really taken on board some of the information which is the most pleasing thing.
"And also the work rate, you see some of the lads are literally on their last legs with ten minutes to go, it's the most pleasing thing that they all put a shift in today.
"Still lots of work, let's not get carried away, it's a point, but it's a good starting point for the league campaign kicking on.
Among a crowd on 3,646, 272 Hereford fans made the trip and it's something which Richards appreciates.
"You hear the noise on the way in when we were coming in on the coach, and then obviously in the corner of the stadium there, we really appreciate that away support - it's massive.
"It's nice that the lads went over and said thanks at the end because it's huge, especially when you come to a ground and a set up like this where it's pretty vocal and you see the momentum shift when they get that goal and the equaliser.
"You think 'come on lads, find that little inner-strength and that mental-strength to get over the line. I'm just really pleased that we got something out of the game today."
Despite reports from all the media that Calvin Dinsley scored for Hereford, it was actually captain Harvey Smith - exceptional and a leader according to Richards.
"Well to be honest I think everyone shouted that it was Dins, he ran off and celebrate, but it was Harvey Smith with the goal.
"That's why I made him captain today, in the short space of time that I've been here I've seen what he brings to that squad. Yes he's on loan, but he is a leader. I thought he was exceptional again today, and to get the goal is perfect."
