Hereford have received international clearance for Jordan Lam, although he wasn't eligible to play at Chorley today.
Lam had been studying at Cardiff Metropolitan University and was most recently playing for their team in the Welsh Premier League, but had been on trial with Newport during pre-season.
The 24-year-old's final game of last season was Met's Europa League play-off final defeat to Cefn Druids, but he was named Welsh Premier League player of the month.
Cardiff Met manager Christian Edwards said on Lam’s performance in May: "He has been electric and is back to the old Jordan Lam.
"He’s been industrious, the hard work he puts in within the 18-yard-box is phenomenal, it’s just making sure the end product is there and this past month it has been."
He made over 50 appearances in the Welsh Premier League for the side, scoring a total of five times.
