Bower Pleased With Win At Hereford

Bradford PA manager Mark Bower was pleased to win at Hereford yesterday but wasn't so pleased with the performance of the referee.

"It was a classic away performance for an hour," he said.

"First half they had a lot of the ball. We had 25% of that game but should have been three up.

"There were some great chances once we got it down and played.

"We caused a problem for them with set-pieces and crosses into the box.

"Second half we had some good chances and restricted them to very little.

"Very pleased as it's a long way down here. We didn't get here until just before 2pm.

"Just frustrated we couldn't put the finishing touch to a few more chances we created. "

Hereford scored their goal close to the end of the game.

"We got two up and then the referee has just decided to even it up. Their lad boots it out of play and then just runs into Rossy (Mark Ross). 

"It was gifted to them by the referee. At home with 300 fans would we be able to generate the noise to put pressure on the referee to give us that, probably not.

"May be they had more of the ball, more of the play but it terms of chances created we definitely deserved to win the game."
