UITC Core Mission

This from UITC:

United in the Community are pleased to announce that it will be changing its core mission which will be to develop an upgraded, state-of-the-art community and sports facility at its Central Park venue for the benefit young people throughout Hereford City and the community surrounding Central Park.

Over the past months the transition of the Academy to Hereford FC has taken place and this allows UITC opportunities to advance its role as a major stakeholder in the local community.

UITC wish the HFC Academy well for the future and hope that they can produce players the likes of Jarrod Bowen (Hull City), Max Harris (Oxford United), Rhys Davies (Shrewsbury Town), Harry Franklin and George Hayes (Hereford FC), to name a few who have progressed thorough the time UITC were custodians of the Academy.

Hereford FC now has the opportunity to advance community provision under the club's banner as it should, and there is opportunity to support this with National League funding. We are also encouraged to hear that a HFC Board Member will be given responsibility for 'Community'.

The change in UITC's core mission will require additional expertise on the Board of Trustees and the recruitment of new trustees will begin over the summer.

We are though sad to announce, that trustees Ruth Walkden and Robert Ellam are standing down from the Board of Trustees. We thank them both for their significant contribution. Luke Shuttleworth also leaves us for Kidderminster Harriers with our very best wishes.

UITC is extremely proud of what it has achieved since the demise of HUFC. Without the support of so many hardworking staff, volunteers, sponsors and the fans there would have been no girls team, no soccer schools, no primary school provision, no academy or cup run and so many other programmes we run, and we hope that you will support us in our new endeavours.
Keep an eye out for more news in the coming months.
