Edgar Street was full of colour yesterday with lots of supporters wearing Hereford shirts.
The weather for the final home league game was sunny and dry, the pitch looked immaculate, and the result a 4-1 win for Hereford over Kettering.
It would have been a perfect day but for the realisation that this was to be Rob Purdie's last home appearance in a Hereford shirt.
Purdie, a loyal servant to both Hereford United and Hereford FC, scored one of the goals and was BN's man of the match.
