“Who Said Being A Club Historian Is Boring?”

Hereford FC historian Ron Parrott has been doing research into former players and has set a question for BN readers.

A left-winger who turned out twice for Hereford United in 1946/47 went on to:-

1.   Win a runners-up medal with Manchester United in 1950/51
2.   Win a First Division champions medal with the Reds the following season
3.   Was stadium announcer at Old Trafford in the sixties
4.   Scouted for the Reds and was the one who recommended Wes Brown
5.   Had a son who played the leading role in the TV series series “Lovejoy”

So who was that player?

We'll have the answer tomorrow.
