Yesterday Biggleswade's Southern Prem fixture against Slough was called off after the officials deemed the pitch unfit.
Confirmation that the game had been called off came after Slough had left their ground.
It appears that both clubs felt the game could have gone ahead but were over-ruled.
Slough joint manger Neil Baker tweeted :
'Biggest joke decision from the officials today! Both sides want the game
on, and pitch was probably 10 times better than when we played our game
last season!! Was no issue at all! Fuming!'
And John Underwood, Slough's other joint manager also tweeted:
'The game has officially gone. Just had a game called off when nothing
wrong with the pitch and everyone apart from one man wanted to play.'
Given Hereford are due to travel to Biggleswade on Tuesday, the fact that yesterday's match was called off might be a blessing.
Had it gone ahead, the pitch would probably have been damaged and with today's rain might not have dried out enough for Tuesday. However as it wasn't played on, the rain might drain away a little easier.
After today the weather for Biggleswade is set to be cloudy but mild for Monday and Tuesday with little rain.
