Just Think If We Win Said Beadle

Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle knows that the odds are against Hereford winning their FA Cup tie at Fleetwood tomorrow. But given his teams record to date this season in Cup competitions a win is certainly not out of the question.

"It's going to take a monumental effort to get anything out of the game but that's not the b all and end all," said Beadle.

"The monumental thing is that in our third season we are in the second round proper of the FA Cup. That's a huge achievement in itself.

"But just think if we win, just think of that and that's the incentive for everybody. We could write our own history. We could go and qualify for the third round of the FA Cup and be in the hat with Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea. Why not? It's eleven v eleven so why not.

"If we start well and have a bit of luck, then who knows?" Beadle, whose side overcame National League Eastleigh in the fourth qualifying round, said.

"If we start well and have a bit of luck then who knows.

"It is a similar situation to the Eastleigh game. No one expected us to beat them but when we scored the first goal you could see that their game changed.

"It may come down to one chance but I've got the utmost faith in my players that, if the chances arrive, they will be fully focused and will play the game not the occasion."

Hereford have travelled towards Fleetwood this afternoon. Every player was expected to travel even if a couple are not going to be in the match day squad.

Two players, Eliot Richards and Cameron Pring can't play whilst Tyrone Duffus and Mike McGrath are out with injuries.

Pablo Haysham and Calvin Dinsley are both doubts but might be on the bench.

Meanwhile Rob Purdie has spoken to BBC Sport about tomorrow's game.

"Regardless of what league you're in, if you have a winning mentality, you go into every game with some form of confidence," said Purdie.

"There's part of me that knows, if they turn up, we'll have a battle on our hands, but there's also a small part of me that cannot see us losing."
