Pretty Solid Performance Said Beadle

Hereford manager Peter Beadle gave his reaction to his side's 1-0 win at Banbury.

"What a great result that is, Tuesday night away from home, 1-0" said Beadle.

"Fairly convincing, more convincing first half than second maybe.

"I don't think Horsell had too much to do, a free kick, one over the top.

"I thought we throughly deserved our clean sheet and it was a pretty solid performance.

"I think it was important for us mentally as well that we won away from home with such an important game on Saturday looming.

"One of the things we talked about before the game was focus on this now because this is our bread and butter.

"Whatever run we have in the cup, win lose or draw, really is irrevelent, it would be a bonus whereas this is important. We don't want to lose ground because we are focused on something else.

"The lads responded brilliantly.

"I thought we won it with a fantastic goal and also a big mention for our twelvth man. That end was rammed with supporters. They stuck behind us all the way through. I thought they were brilliant."

It wasn't all Hereford though given some good defending from Banbury.

"When you're away from home, it's 1-0 and your backs are against the wall a little bit. They did keep us penned in for times in the second half.

"To hear them being as vocal behind the boys was fantastic and tonight's result was as much to do with them as us."

Garyn Preen and Calvin Dinsley missed the game.

"Knocks at the weekend.

"Calvin came off with a slight hamstring and Garyn felt his calf a little bit after the game. So no need to take a risk.

"We've shown out depth again tonight with a couple of changes and we've certainly not looked any weaker.

"Hopefully they will both be available for Saturday."

Keyon Reffell scored the only goal of the game.

"A fantastic goal. When Ryan hit the cross/pass we were a little bit what's he doing that for. But Keyon dealt with it superbly. It was a great first touch and then hit it.

"I was right behind it but lost it as it went into the net as a defender crossed my line so I couldn't see it but an absolutely fantastic strike.

"He played well again, a constant thorn in their side. He was lively, he was bright but they all were especially first half."
