The Mirror has highlighted five of the clubs taking part in the FA Cup tomorrow and one of them is Hereford.
Cup legends Hereford are as alive as ever
Eastleigh vs Hereford, Saturday 3pm
Hereford are one of the most iconic names in FA Cup history, having secured one of the competition’s greatest-ever results when they defeated Newcastle back in 1972.
The old Hereford United are unfortunately no more, having being wound up in 2014, but their phoenix club, Hereford FC, are thriving. Their iconic Edgar Street home is averaging over 2,600 fans and the feel good atmosphere is back at the football club.
After two promotions in their first two seasons to reach the third tier of non-league, Hereford are now looking to recreate the FA Cup magic of yesteryear.
They travel to National League side Eastleigh, who would be a sizeable scalp for the Bulls, but with a mammoth away following - and in a competition where they have so much history - anything is possible.
