In his post match interview at Frome last night, Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle said that his squad had had a tough couple of weeks on the road.
"We've had some long trips and whilst this is not one of the longest, it's a difficult one to get to in the middle of nowhere." said Beadle.
"The grass is extra long, I expect they left it like that on purpose, fortunately we've had some rain on it which made it a bit quicker than it would have been.
"We've had a couple of weeks of travelling and to have put in the performances we have done, I'm really pleased."
Lance Smith started the game in place of Mike Symons.
"The big man is been a bit tired, three games in a week last week, Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday and he was a bit tired on Saturday. So I thought to freshen it up as Lance is there and it gave him an opportunity to come in and get some minutes under his belt.
"Everyone is contributing now. Page came on and looked sharp.
"We changed the shape in the last ten minutes just to have a look at it and to get Jack on and give him some minutes as well.
"That's why we need the squad we have, both to be competitive and when someone is not quite at it or needs a bit of a rest we've got quality waiting to come on into the side."
