A Red Card For Aaron Butler After Just Three Minutes Ended Godalming's Hopes Of An Upset |
The Whites then took advantage of their resulting free kick, as John Mills curled the ball into the bottom right-hand corner of the net to give the Bulls an early lead.
A powerful shot from Pablo Haysham in the 13th minute stung the hands of Taylor, with Mike McGrath heading the rebound inches high.
Goal number two came eight minutes later, thanks to a glancing header from Mark Preece. James Bowen's inswinging corner met by Preece who found the back of the net to double Hereford's lead.

John Mills grabbed his second goal of the game with 29 minutes on the clock. Garyn Preen's cross from the left took a deflection, before falling to Mills to easily poke over the line.
Keyon Reffell came agonisingly close to further extending Hereford's lead, but his effort rattled the woodwork after coming off the foot of Scott Edgar.
Taylor was kept busy in goal, stopping a number of shots from Hereford. In the moments leading up to half time, Haysham's shot was parried before Jamie Molyneux saw another shot sail hopelessly wide.

After the restart, Mike McGrath picked up a needless yellow card as he conceded a free kick 30-yards out. Martin Horsell wasn’t troubled in goal though, as Darren Wheeler’s effort whistled wide of the target.
Hereford’s first clear-cut chance of the second half came with 52 minutes on the clock. Garyn Preen, who’d looked fairly bright in the first half, saw a shot rattle off the crossbar much to the relief of the keeper.
Two minutes later, John Mills claimed his hat-trick. Mike McGrath saw his shot parried by the keeper, but Mills was well-positioned to score his sixth goal of the season, stabbing the ball past Taylor.
In the 57th minute, Hereford were awarded a penalty after Garyn Preen was fouled. Joe Smith brought down Garyn Preen as he cut into the box from the left, with the referee unhesitatingly pointing the spot. The home fans were left applauding though after Taylor dived low down to his right to deny John Mills a fourth goal.
The keeper then prevented Pablo Haysham from netting a goal, stealing the ball from his feet as he raced towards goal, but less than a minute later, Haysham did find the back of the net.
Jamie Molyneux picked out Haysham at the far-post with his cross, with the ex-Didcot man scoring the fifth goal of the afternoon, tapping the ball across the line.
The game continued to be one-way traffic, with Garyn Preen somehow unable to score a sitter. With the keeper well off his line, Preen fired well-wide after being set-up by Mark Preece. Substitute Rob Purdie then fired a rasping shot well over the crossbar as the hosts searched for a sixth goal.
Keyon Reffell scored his first goal of the season in the 73rd minute. After running onto the end of a neat through-ball by Pablo Haysham, Reffell picked his spot, finding the bottom right-hand corner of the net under pressure from the keeper.

Reffell came close to scoring a second, but after bursting through the centre, he narrowly missed the far corner with his right-footed effort.
Hereford added goal seven to their haul in the 84th minute, as Haysham scored with a thumping header. James Bowen made progress down the left before crossing the ball into the box, as Haysham did well to redirect the heavy cross into the back of the net.
