Beadle: We Totally Dominated the Second Half

Following this afternoon's 4-1 win at Royston, manager Pete Beadle gave his thoughts to the local press.

"That was our best performance so far," said Beadle.

"First half they (Royston) threw something a little bit different at us, and we coped with it great until half time.

"We then spoke about it, dealt with it better and then second half they never really caused us a real threat.

"There was one long-throw that skidded right across the face of goal, but we totally dominated the second half and deserved the win.

"We played exceptionally well, and we think there's still more to come because there’s players that still aren't fully fit. We certainly weren't as slick as we wanted to be in the first half, and even in the second half we were sloppy at times."

Beadle then spoke about Garyn Preen.

"He's an exciting type of player that we lacked after having Mustapha Bundu and Sirdic Grant here a couple of seasons ago.

"We didn't really have anyone last season that could stretch people and run behind, but now we’ve got a couple in Keyon Reffell, Lance Smith, Gethyn Hill and Garyn Preen especially.

"He had a slow start, but these last two games he's done exceptionally well. He's finding it tough as the standards are high here, he's come off tired today but that's because of the ground he’s covered."
