United in the Community (UITC) is a charity organisation, established as a partner of Hereford FC since the 2015/16 season and is also the official player pathway for Hereford FC. With a team of FA qualified coaches, United in the Community aims to deliver and increase participation for all within the county, with an ultimate goal of supporting Hereford FC.
Job Role: Assistant football coach
Overall purpose of the role:
To enhance player’s development from the ages of Under-12s to Under 16s in conjunction with the of UITC/Hereford FC’s philosophy and culture.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
§ To support and implement the coaching philosophy of UITC/Hereford FC
§ To prepare the players for all training sessions and matches
§ Ensure high quality sessions are planned and executed under the UITC/Hereford FC philosophy
§ To monitor and provide feedback on the performance and development of all players
§ Perform player review sessions every 10 weeks
§ Ensure all qualifications are maintained adhering to FA guidelines
Qualifications:
Essential
§ Level 2 in Coaching Football
§ Youth Award Module 2
§ Safeguarding and Protecting Children (FA accredited)
§ Basic First Aid for Sport (FA accredited)
§ FA LCC member
§ Full Driving Licence
Desirable
§ UEFA ‘B’
§ Youth Award Module 3
§ Advanced Youth Award
Required Experience:
§ 3 years previous experience in a football coaching role
Personal Qualities:
§ Excellent communication
§ Flexible attitude to work evenings and weekends.
§ Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
§ Be well mannered
§ Good time-management skills
§ To meet required deadlines frequently
§ To have a drive for high standards
§ Be approachable
