Throwback Thursday - Stockport 5-0, Colin Robinson, Bowyer Sacked

As always don't forget to subscribe to my channel. www.youtube.com/djmatthealey  I have recently discovered some obscure Welsh Cup Matches.

We start with a 5-0 win over Stockport on the 30th October 2010. Rob Purdie with a brace, Mathieu Manset, Stuart Fleetwood  and a comical own goal complete the rout.

The best of series features Colin Robinson. Signed by Ian Bowyer in 1989. The former Birmingham striker stayed at Edgar Street for two seasons. His most famous goal was the opener in the 1990 Welsh Cup Final.

Gary Bowyer has recently won promotion as a manager with Blackpool, but when he left Hereford United in May 1990 to join Brian Clough at Nottingham Forest, it ending up costing his father his job as manager at Edgar Street. Here is the Central News footage of the departure of Ian Bowyer.
