Snapper In Charge At Worcester

Former Hereford United mid-fielder John Snape is to become care-taker manager of Worcester City following Carl Heeley's decision to quit after seven years in charge.

Heeley gave a long interview to BBC Hereford and Worcester last night in which he spelt out his intentions.

Later he met club chairman Anthony Hampson.

John Snape joined Hereford United in May 1998.

"Mr Turner wants to take the club back into the League and if I could help Hereford achieve that, it would be brilliant," he said at the time.
