It's not very often in football that you hear of a referee apologising to a club, but Stephen Graham has following Salisbury's 2-1 loss at home to North Leigh on Saturday.
An article on their OS reads:
The email referred to the foul on Justin Bennett, which was missed in the lead up to North Leigh’s equaliser in the 71st minute.
Graham acknowledges that a free kick should have been awarded and he shouldn’t have missed ‘such a blatant foul’
Steve Claridge spoke in reply to Mr Graham's correspondence:
"I think it’s good of him to admit he got it wrong and we appreciate the apology.
"But it doesn’t change the fact that it's not the first time he has refereed a game in which he has made a poor decision, and the result of that has meant that it’s cost us."
