Linden Dovey's second half goal from the game against Hereford on Monday has been picked up by the Mirror.
Here's a section of their article, which can be read in full (with the goal video from the club), here (link).
Every now and again non-league football throws up a little gem.
It also very, very rarely throws up a big gem, which is exactly what we have in the above video from the Southern League Division One South and West.
The clip captures Evesham United captain Linden Dovey doing what all good skippers do when their side is 2-0 down - lead by example.
Although, Dovey manages to do a little bit more than just that - he first channels LIONEL MESSI, and then leads by example.
In the video, the centre-back - yes you did hear that right, centre-back - picks the ball up on the half-way line.
He then proceeds to run through the middle of the pitch and evade challenges from no less than FIVE Hereford United players.
But really, they shouldn't have even bothered because after going around them like cones, the centre-back smashes a shot at goal from just outside the area.
